Some say that Jim Looney was
born with a fishing pole in his hand. He spent the first part of his
life fishing lakes and rivers up in Arkansas. In 1969, he made his
move to South Louisiana and has spent the last 41 years fishing
South Louisiana waters (both salt and fresh water). He appeared
several times on Bob Scarce's "Great Outdoors" TV show, Frank Davis'
WWL Radio Show, has written many articles for "The Louisiana
Sportsman" Magazine and has written outdoor articles for local
newspapers for over 20 years.
In his books, Jim has given up a volume of information about fishing
in South Louisiana and has shown many of his "secret fishing spots."
With these books, a fisherman has a head start on the rest of the
pack when it comes to knowing exactly how, when and where to fish
these areas.
